Exterior Aircraft Cleaner
Location:Gatwick Airport
Reporting to:Service Delivery Manager
Working hours:Night shifts. Will be expected to work weekends and bank holidays. Working a shift
pattern of 4 days on and 4 days off. 12 hour shifts 7pm – 7am. Must be flexible.
Temporary Fulltime
Payrate:£10 per hour; £10-50 after 12 week training and probation period. Some airport
benefits may apply. Full uniform is provided. Full training is provided.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To be carried out in accordance with company operating procedures and to the specified standard.
Wet Washing, Tech Washing, Hand Washing and Dry Washing – Full exterior washing of aircraft using brushes, buckets, soap, rags and pressurised water hoses. Areas to be washed include the full fuselage, fin, tailplane, wings, flaps, shrouds, pods, engine struts, cowling, belly and under–carriage legs and bogies and wheels. Also making use of scissor lift / cherry picker.
Additional duties – From time to time you will be expected to carry out duties as and when requested by a manager which are related to the services offered by this company, particularly during busy periods, foul weather conditions or to assist our customers at short notice.
Job Requirements:
Valid Passport/ID,
A UK Resident and Right to Work in the UK,
Proof of Address and National Insurance Number,
5 years’ check-able work history,
Clean Disclosure/ Criminal Record Check,
Must be willing to undergo relevant training as required,
Must be flexible with working hours and shifts,
Preferable to have experience in the same or similar role to the above,
Preferable to have a full driving license,
Preferable to have an Airside Pass,
Preferable to have an Airside Driving Permit,
Preferable to have an IPAF license for scissor lift / cherry picker.
